Look at the attitude on this face.  Wow, can this little girl let her feelings be known.  I am already scared about her teenage years!  I know that I have a strong personality, but this little pipsqueak is going to give me a run for my money.  While I was pregnant with her I would say, “I hope that it is a chubby baby with lots of hair and lots of spunk”.  I was certainly blessed.  She came out chubby (9lb), yelling and with a head full of black hair.  Since then, it’s been a fight to maintain the upper hand and she will often tell me that she is the boss!  Even at six months old, when I thought it was pretty amazing that she was already starting to say some words, she was cheeky beyond what I thought was possible.  I would say, “Can you say mum?” invariably she would say, “Da.” then I would say, “Can you say dad?” she would say, “Mummm” with the cheekiest of smiles.  She’s so clever and I’m just so proud, I love that she has attitude.  At the moment she keeps exclaiming, “Can you a-lieve I can do this? I’m only two!”.  She keeps my days so full and I couldn’t dream up a more perfect child, even though it is a pretty naughty one!

Up until last night, the little dress she is wearing used to be a sheet.  I love this fabric, it’s so light, soft and worn-in.  It will be perfect for summer and we’ll be certainly be needing some light clothing with it getting so hot already.  I made this one without a pattern again, it felt a bit more adventurous than my last and I’m so pleased with how it turned out (perfectly imperfect of course!).
