The end of one year and the start of another is a perfect time for reflection on where we have been and where we are going.

After a previous couple of years that encompassed a wedding, a pregnancy, a new baby, relocation back to Australia and the purchase and renovation of our first home, 2010 was a nice quiet year for our little family.  We saw the birth of twin nieces and a new nephew.  We spent time with family and watched Ivy grow from a baby to a little girl.  We have been lucky enough to all be healthy and have no big worries.

May 2011 bring us more of the same.  I hope this coming year will also see me being more productive, getting my etsy shop established and being able to make things that people love and want to buy.  I also hope that we have fun, spend time with the people we love and experience lots of excitement.

I hope that 2011 brings you everything that you hope for too.

We’ve just finished wrapping presents (“pre-pents”) for our Santa sack and we have a happy dad who has just put together his first bike.  I can’t wait to see her Christmas morning reaction, I know there is going to be lots of  “WOW MEEEEEEE”s flying around.

I am stoked to see that I have a few people reading my little blog, so I wish all of you a very happy Christmas with the people you love and a year full of health, laughter and fulfilment.

How lucky we are to be able to show this beautiful little owner of this chubby hand the wonder and excitement of Christmas.

We welcomed a new family member on Wednesday morning.  Our first nephew.  I’ve been busy sewing my first boy’s things.  Here is a peek what I have made so far.

I am all booked in for my first ever market tomorrow.  I have no expectations, so we’ll see how I go.  I’ve always loved markets, so I envisage myself sitting around, watching people do their thing, drinking coffee and doing bits and pieces of hand-sewing.  I always have such romantic ideas.

I also got a new camera last night.  I’ve had lots of fun playing with it today…

How cute is this little dress??  It was mine when I was the same age as Ivy, I’m so glad mum kept it.
